An Artist

Paint is to a pallet, what water is to rain.
A picture to an artist, is his soul's refrain.

A word is to a poem, what a breeze is to the wind,
For a poets work resounds with a beauty from within.

A sound is to a song, what a wave is to the sea,
And the singers heart rejoices with a simply harmony.

Stone is to a statue, what dirt is to the earth,
Yet a sculpters work forever shows the day of his rebirth.

Art is to an artist, what sun is to the day,
An expression of the beauty found along the way.
