The two stood as tall as our Country is wide
Showing American strength and our pride
Showing the world we are always the best
American ingenuity never will rest

They saw as men went from rags to riches
They watched as fortunes fell to pieces
As children grew up, as people grew old
They stood their ground and would never fold

They watched as crime ran through the streets
They knew all those people refused to be beat
They towered and loomed while people looked up
In awe of the strength the men used to build up

They stood for many a day
Never questioning how they would stand the next day
The morning of fire, the horror, the fear
We all saw our lives changing in this New Year

The sky opened up and evil arose
From the depths of a Hell we just never should know
Attack on our people our country our pride
Not one of our boys would turn, run or hide

With fire and death and their lives in their eyes
They all entered and took on the fire in the skies
To save many lives and to give up their own
They did what they knew that is what would be shown

American Pride and American strength
Courage over fear, they all went to great length
To always do right even if the ends near
Drawing the last breath to help those that are here

It’s in all of us to take pride in these deeds
To work for our future
To plant the right seeds

We will never forget what you did in our land
As the world looked on we took our stand
Our country stood up
Took the call when undone
And it’ll always be known as 9 1 1
