One of my first poems
Dreams float along the horizon.
Just out of sight and over the hills.
A place where the world is different.
A place where no one wants to kill.
A perfected utopia,
Filled with happiness for all,
Where we can soar with Eagles,
And we never fear to fall.
A place where there is no evil,
A place where there is no hurt,
Where you can walk through the fire,
And you will never get burnt.
It is a perfect world,
Where the trees are all green,
The sky is never gray,
Such a wonderful dream.

Then we awake from that world,
To a place filled with fear.
The blind can not see,
And the deaf can not hear.
Most have been lost
On this maze of a path.
Where the world is so ugly,
And nothing can last.
Violence fills whatever we do,
From watching TV,
To going to school.
We play with this anger,
We flirt with this pain,
And we all cry out,
At the end of this game.
