a poem about pain suffering loss and love
Sitting alone on the top of a lonely hill
Nothing surrounding her but dark looming trees
The sun is fading away about her
And her delicate golden-brown hair falls in her face

Reminiscing about the way things were
Waking once again the memories she labored so mercilessly to bury
The grass under her is piercing
A white layer of frost paints a picture over it
The chill of the air freezes her in place

Gently tears stream down her cheeks glistening in the fading twilight
With every single tear shed goes another lost dream
Faintly singing a deplorable love song that once held so much meaning
The hollow words ringing in her ears
As she tries one last time to abandon all thoughts of deceit
The vain lies that once filled her heart
Left only with a deep dark void to replace it

Lost in the vast abyss of her thoughts
Her dreams have become no more than mere dreams
Fading away one by one till no more remain
He is her everything the stars that twinkled and shone in her night sky
The sun that lights up her daytime and brings her warmth
He was the only thing she had left in this depressing world
And now he has disappeared, faded into the night just as quickly as he came

With her last breath she seals up a handwritten letter
Addressed to the boy who stole her heart
She knows she cant go on without him and she refuses to
Still sitting atop the lonely hill she takes her one last moment
In their special spot, their getaway from the troubles of the world

She slowly arises and gently brushes the cold white frost off of her clothes
She takes the knife out of her pocket and stares at it for a moment
The sharp silver blade glistening in the moonlight she looks at her reflection
In the sky above her the moon is blue, the night is black, and the stars have faded into darkness.

Sitting back down in the snow, white as the stars that usually grace the dark night sky
She plunges the knife deep into her broken heart
And with her last breath in a barely audible whisper she says
“I love you more than life itself I just wish you could have seen it too, without you my love, there is no point in living, may the sweetest of dreams grace you tonight, goodnight my love”

Her Crimson blood and twilight tears now soak their snowy getaway
She had to end it where it all started
