Bashful

I cannot seem to find the words
to say the things I feel.
So here I sit and write them out,
my love for you is real.

I know it would be braver still,
to proclaim my love out loud.
To shout my love to all the world,
regardless of the crowd.

Now call me bashful to a fault,
for I've no verbal skill.
I do not care to flaunt my voice,
what comes from me is nil'.

At last, the time has come again
for me to lick the stamp.
A ten page letter I will send
and rest my writer's cramp.
