a story that i'm still trying to flesh out any advice in finishing this story
He stood outside the cafe and watched the young woman intently through the window. The piercing, cold wind ruffled his dark, wavy hair. As
always, she was alone, drinking hot chocolate with
her hands clasped around the warm cup.
From the corner of her eye she saw a dark figure not too far from the window just standing there. Staring at her, this time conspiciously. As
always, she could no see the man's face; it was a shadowy mass. Irritated, she got up leaving the tip on the table and embraced the cold evening air. She shivered as she attempted to button her coat and pulled the collar up as far as it would go. Where could he have gone that fast? she wondered, searching for the mysterious man.
Just as she was about to give up she saw a man walking hurriedly past a group of teens. Following her instincts, she picked her pace up in attempt to catch up with the man who was nearly down the block.
He cursed hisself for not leaving soon enough. That woman saw him and now assigned herself to follow him. That woman...he pondered, thinking of her captivating eyes. Brown, almond shaped eyes that curved upwards, but they were--
"Excuse me!" A female voice called out, her hand grabbing his shoulder.
His first thought was to ignore her and keep on going but deciding against it, he faced the young woman.
"Can I help you miss?" he asked politely.
"We have to talk," she commanded, "I want to know why you keep following and staring at me!"
"I think you have me mistaken with someone else..." he replied, trying to leave.
She stepped in his way and said, "No, I don't. Who are you?"
His dark eyes searched her brown ones. Her hair
whipped around her face as she tried to push it back. Their breaths showed up in the cold air as smokey mists of white vapor. He pulled up the collar to his black trench coat and began to walk, never bothering to answer her.
