What kind of man chooses darkness?
Who could step into the darkness after seeing the light?
The man without direction, the man without sight.
He turned his back on love and all things sacred
To dwell in filth and sleep with hatred.
The lives he ruined, the love he threw away
They wait for retribution, they wait for the day.
The cloud over his eyes, the ice around his heart
Separate him from love, tore him apart.
The love in his heart is only for one.
The one he loves is who told him to run.
He lives in a house of hatred and lies
The longer he stays, the more his soul dies.
Wasting away in his own sin
He's bound and chained to the darkness he lives in.
The face in the mirror is not his own.
It's the face of the demon that owns his soul.
The choices he made will be his demise.
He has become what he once despised.
