green tinged water reflects
paradise.

Supporting the sky
distant obelisk stand in
their serene beauty.

Their golden heads raised
in tribute to God
serpents watch serenity.

Today is the bridge
that spans the river of life
Leading to the future.

Biting into the horizon
Earth's jagged teeth sever
the sky's blue veins.

Like giant logs
hay bails wait for the stone wizard
to break ancient spells.

In the afternoon
Palm trees wait for Christ to return
and the cycle to end.
