A poem about suicide and pain
A FATAL THOUGHT-- BY KEMI CHANEL GRACE LAY

AS SHE LAYS HERE SMOTHERED IN DESPAIR
SHE THINKS BACK ON ALL HER MEMORIES
AND WISHES THEY WOULD JUST DISAPPEAR
ALL THE PAIN MAKES THEM SEEM TO UNDULATE
AND SHE QUIVERS AT THE THOUGHTS RUNNING THROUGH HER HEAD
THE THOUGHTS OF PURE TORTURE
OH, HOW SHE WISHES IT WOULD END
AS SHE HOLDS UP HER HAND TO HER HEAD
SHE STARES AT THE SHINY PISTOL
A SINGLE TEAR FALLS FROM HER EYE
AS SHE PULLED THE TRIGGER
AND SAYS HER GOOD BYES
SHE FEELS A LITTLE PAIN AS
THE BULLET PIERCES THROUGH HER SKULL
THEN WITH A TEAR AND A SIGH
LETS IT ALL PASS BY
SHE’S GONE
SHE NEVER TOLD ANYBODY HOW SHE HURTS INSIDE
HER LIFE WAS JUST A WORTHLES ONE
AN EMPTY VOID NEVER FILLED
WORTHLESS GIRL
SHE WASN’T EVEN REAL
SHE TOOK HER LIFE THAT DAY
NOBODY WILL EVER KNOW
WOULD THEY EVEN CARE?
BECAUSE SHE WAS ALL ALONE
SHE HELD THE PISTOL
CRIED A TEAR
PULLED THE TRIGGER
AND IN ONE INSTANT MADE IT ALL DISAPPEAR.
