Pride that Is my Pain

Deprived of all that I have wanted,
I stive to find another way.
My attempts are all for nothing
Because I've waited to long.
I wish that I'd heard the voice
Telling me to do it right.
I guess I'll take this to the grave,
the dreams of what I could've had

I stand alone wanting what I can't have
Trying to find a way back to the past
To be reborn would cure all of my pain
But I'm stuck with a fate that I can't change

I should have took the opportunity,
But you can't teach the unwilling.
The hate this selfish dillusion
It was my worst mistake
Now I take this horrid fate
From the pride that is my pain
