Waters of Life

My mind is afloat in the waters of life,
Adrift in the morning and night.
I strive to find the source of creation,
And the meaning of life in a word.

The wind in my sail is advice from my parents,
The current, my peers and my friends.
I follow their guidance which shows my direction,
Although I feel lost and confused.

My hope is to realize the key to my past,
And unlock my present and future.
Faith is the North Star and God is the Sun,
Together they make my life whole.

Indeed, I am afloat in the waters of life,
Adrift in the morning and night,
Life is an everlasting tale,
And my destination is the horizon.
