when u're dying
It is amazing when everything looks so beautiful or more defined when you're breathing in your last breaths. You see your whole life flash before just like an old black and white film. No sound, just motion.
I watched my private film and the dams of tears which I had succesfully seal shut burst open. Torrents of bottled-up tears introduced themselves to the cold and frigid hospital air. I watched a five-year old me crying loudly at the sight of an old man who was half-hidden by the red suit and white curly hair. I see myself in a cheap motel after prom, giving my virginity to the president of the science club. Then, the private film came to a view of my beloved's face. The place where we met, the first kiss he gave me, the way he made love to me and the way he proposed to me at my front door. The screening came to a halt after I saw myself falling down the stairs, eight months pregnant.
I heard my name being called. Something warm against my hand. I opened my heavy eyes slowly and saw my husband'slips presed against my hand. Tears ran down his tanned cheeks. He looked gorgeous than ever.
"I'm sorry about our baby." I managed to say.He shook his head and kissed me.
"I will always love you no matter what." He whispered.
"I love you too." With tears blurring my vision, I gave him my last smile. Faintly, i heard him shout my name and the doctor but I was already on my way to embrace my lost baby.
