In an old issue of the poetry newsletter, I investigated reading poetry aloud. To me, reading poetry aloud helps me to work out syllable issues, fix inconsistencies in following a specific meter and even can help a poet (or reviewer) spot typos. My question is this.
Does reading poetry aloud help you review and/or edit poetry?
Comments are appreciated. Though the newsletter has long since been completed, I still like to hear others' thoughts on this aspect of poetry.
