Finding Pieces of a Puzzle

Why doesn't anyone use the official pages any longer?

That question is probably a little over-dramatic. However, I do wonder, why are the official Writing.Com Contests page and the official Writing.Com activities page no longer the most up-to-date pages to find activities, contests, raffles, auctions, etc.?

What has changed?

It's the Newsfeed. All of my Editor's Choices today come from the Newsfeed.

Not a single one of the activities that I feature below came from the official Activities Page.

I could find only two of the contests that I found on the Newsfeed on the official Contests Page.

For past Contests & Activities Newsletters, I would try to find all of the things to announce on those two pages. That's not easy, since the pages aren't used enough to generate 10 fresh, open, and administered activities or contests between both of those pages. So, because I like to be able to find things where I would expect them, I have thrown out a little challenge for you in the Ask & Answer section of this newsletter.
