How does a member acquire funds of gift points in Writing.com? The easy way is to purchase a nice pile of gift points from the Writing.Com Shop  Open in new Window. But what if you don't have the personal funds to use on the site, or if your country doesn't allow the purchase?

Some ways to procure funds within the site is interaction. Obviously, everyone gets gift points for logging in. That's great! The next way is to review your fellow members. Check out this informational page  Open in new Window., and remember...if you review several members in one day, the rewards multiply. Another way of earning gift points is to drop in twice a week and talk about your "Weekly GoalsOpen in new Window. [13+]. This helps you two ways; you track your progress and fill your bank.

Another way is to enter contests. The current site contest is "Journey Through Genres: Official ContestOpen in new Window. [E] and has fantastic prizes. Invest some time writing an entry and see if you can bag some GPs that way. Another way is daily contests, a few minutes spent writing for contests like "The Writer's CrampOpen in new Window. [13+] or "Daily Flash Fiction ChallengeOpen in new Window. [13+] and some cabbage could end up in your pockets.

#1944443 by Matt 2021 Dean Author IconMail Icon

Excerpt: Create a forum post in this forum, no {b-links}, in three or less sentences. Your writing doesn’t have to be funny. If I do a double take, or go ah-hah, you could still win the Keenest Joker.
