Being Unique

As I'm sure some of you can relate, that one snowflake is kind of....pretty. But a whole pile of them coming down when you're trying to drive somewhere, not so much. Inside that snowdrift, though...are many unique bits of crystal ice, formed in the most beautiful, symmetrical and simple shapes.

In the blizzard of contests and activities on the site, how to you get your contest or activity noticed? First off, try to be unique. Lots of auctions and raffles happen, so how to attract attention? Think about your hook. Think about an unusual theme or twist on the ordinary to make yours shine.

Try to keep it simple and beautiful. For some people, online time is precious. They don't want to spend twenty minutes trying to figure some complicated rules just to buy raffle tickets for a friend. They don't want to jump through hoops to join an activity. They want to stop in, join in the fun, and then be on their merry way.

Keep in mind a few things: Not everyone is in the same time zone. Not everyone speaks the same language. Not everyone knows site linking. Not everyone has a lot of gift points. Not everyone will spot your item if you don't promote it.

Most important of all, have a fun! Throw a few snowballs and laugh. And as always, Write (and Play) On!
