Letter from the editor

You do know that this place never sleeps, right?! Right. I mean, we've got people from all over the world here. While you're getting ready to hit the sheets, someone else just woke up on the opposite side of the world and is ready to log onto the site. What does that mean for you? I'll tell you! It means you'll miss something good.

This is a place for creativity of all sorts. Writing is just one of those things. Someone has to spruce up the place, create things to stir up those creative thoughts you, at times, have trouble putting into words. We never sleep and create new things around the clock. I don't even know how you manage to get some sleep for fear you might not see something another person has posted and it has a time limit! *Shock2* This is real, people!

While you are catching zzz's, we've got stuff that needs to be gotten to. Contests are looking for new writing, challenges need to be completed, some mud thrown around or candy bought... Oh, wait. You missed all that? Shame on you then. You've missed heck of a Birthday week we had for the WdC's 17th Anniversary. Too bad for you. *Sad*

Ah, never fret. There's still a lot going on. No, I won't be telling you to join "October Novel Prep ChallengeOpen in new Window. in October or to sign up for "Erotica Exposed Class ForumOpen in new Window. classes - participation very limited. Nope, none of those things. What about "NaNoWriMo Write-A-ThonOpen in new Window. once November creeps around the corner? Nope. All I will tell you is that time is precious and you should use it wisely. If you are not in the mood to create something new or run an old contest of yours - if you're like me *Hand1* - than I suggest to look around the site for some cool activities and contests.

If that is not your forte, I'd like to make a small suggestion, if I may. There are a lot of new members who, for one reason or another, love interactive stories. As a free member of the site, you are limited to a certain amount of items in your port and when the space runs out yet the GPs are short, it can be hard to stick around because, well, you just ran out of space to share your writing. That doesn't mean that your muse is done. What do you do?

Old members, who've been here for a while and who do have plenty of space in their port, such as yourself - yes, you! - can help those members out a bit. Create a cool new interactive and let it run loose. Have fun with it! Let others add to it. Make your own rules, set the beginning for the story. Have a blast! Sky's the limit. I dare you!

I'm not only suggesting it because some members may post in it, I'm suggesting it because I've been thinking about creating one of my own. How hard can it be, right? If you do decide to create one for all members present and absent, please do share it with us so we can spread the word and the love!

'til next time!
~ Gaby *WitchHat*
