How Can I Be Seen?

Are you worried that your items aren't being seen? Here are some ways to get them out there!

When new to the site, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many people, so many items, and so many pages to muddle through. It is easy to feel lost and insignificant.

However, WdC loves the newbies to the site, and we want you to feel seen and welcomed. We want you to jump right in there! So, to aide you in the splashing in amongst the crowd, here are some ways to get your items seen, and possibly even reviewed!

"The Shameless "Plug" PageOpen in new Window. [E]
The Shameless "Plug" Page is a place where you can do just that. You can shamelessly plug anything you might like seen by other people. Just be careful, because there ARE rules. Anything you plug here needs to be 18+ or below, or it will be removed.

"The GC+ Shameless "Plug" PageOpen in new Window. [18+]
Here's where you can plug things that are a little more... eh... juicy. Or, in fact, read them.

"Activities @ Writing.ComOpen in new Window. [E]
This is where you can find all of the Activities currently running on WdC, if the activity owner has posted it. Activities can be great ways to stretch your typing fingers and writing capacity, and you can have lots of fun and meet new people.

"The Blog BoardOpen in new Window. [E]
Do you have a new blog entry you'd like everyone to read? You can post about it here! Bloggers from all over WdC use this board to notify others that they have been stating their opinions and writing about their lives and experiences. Join them! You might find some blogs to follow, too!

"Please ReviewOpen in new Window. [E]
If you would like something reviewed, but don't know who to ask, this is the perfect place to post your item. You might even get more than one!

"Writing Contests @ Writing.ComOpen in new Window. [E]
And this was also included in my last newsletter, but it can't hurt to include it here as well. Here are the contests. At the top are the official Writing.Com contests, and below are the member hosted contests. Don't be afraid to get yourself out there and enjoy yourself. The best way to be seen is to jump in and participate!

As always, I wish all of our new members the best of luck!

And you older members, you guys get out there, too. I know that's something I intend to do this summer - my life changed yesterday as I stepped out of my classroom for the last time to enter a new profession. I will be changing my writing habits, as well, and getting myself back into the habit of putting fingers to keyboard and getting stories back onto the page. Goodness knows I want to!
