Romance of the Holidays
Happy Holidays, everyone!
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, or something else, I hope you take a little time to tell your significant other how much you care about them. I always feel like this time of year is full of opportunities for romance. From ice skating to walking hand-in-hand through a Christmas market, there are plenty of ways to relax and enjoy each other's company without getting wrapped up in the chaos of Christmas shopping.
Don't forget New Year's Eve, too! Whether you decide to sit inside and celebrate with wine in front of the TV or go out and party it up at a bar, it's important to remember who you are celebrating with. Let's go forward into a new year with the attitude that we will not only improve ourselves, but also strengthen the relationships with the ones we care about the most.
Last year, I found something in Pinterest that I've been meaning to try. Get a jar and, every day, write down one great thing that has happened that day. At the end of the year, you can open the jar and remember all of the great moments. It's so easy to dwell on the bad things that happened in the past, but I really think this jar will help me stay focused on the things I have grateful for and go into the new year with a positive attitude. I plan on asking my boyfriend to do this with me. I can't think of any better way to bond than over celebrating small victories and making bigger goals!
How will you celebrate your love this holiday season and into the new year? |

Thanks to those of you who wrote in about my Romance/Love Newsletter last month! I love getting comments, so don't be afraid to share what you thought.
Having fun together is the best way to be romantic! Hubby and I had an unexpected opportunity to do something wild and silly together, the other night. We went to see The Reduced Shakespeare Company's Complete History of Comedy, Abridged. And, probably because I was grinning like a silly fool through the entire thing, I was called up onto the stage. I didn't realize until I was in position that hubby had been called up as well! We got to improv with them. Hubby told me on the way home that he'd chosen the seats hoping I might be chosen. What a sweetie! -Mummsy
