We have all look up into the night sky, cloudless, silent somewhat erie and admired the "full moon". No matter where we are on this earth, the moon is a magnificent orb shining in the blanketing void that is our solar system kept close to us by earth's horrific grasp. The "full moon" is suspected and sworn by, to affect human behavior, wolves are known and studied for their uncanny howling in packs at a "full moon". A full moon has a magnetic affect on earth's tides and especially in Canada where in the Bay of Fundy's Minas Basin, the highest tides in the world are achieved under the moon's gaze. The human body is 90% water, and the effect the moon has on earth's oceans, waterways, all that flows, it is known that more people are murdered, more dogs bite, more disturbing things happen under the unblinking "full moon's" gaze. Of course let us not forget werewolves! ( Here doggy, doggy )
The "full moon" as been a well used background to almost every horror flick. We have, will, and might wish we haven't seen Jason all seven feet of him, hunting someone down the "full moon" shining his backside. Vampires like to come out in a full moon, a helpful natural light to find their prey. Who can forget a cemetery, how creepy it looks the moon reflecting on the graves. It is masterful portrait for all horror. The classic black cat at Halloween in front of what? a "full moon". and I know how a friend of mine here frets and fears my yard at night, and when the moon is glowing that effect it has on the surrounding woods.
The moon is blamed for madness. In fact the word Lunacy means Lunar. A almost comical legion of beliefs have been spawned over the moon, and all its phrases. Here are some superstitions about the moon and a "full moon",
A full Moon on Christmas day brings misfortune.
In some parts of the world, it is unlucky to point at the Moon. Misfortune will follow.
It is unlucky to drive a nail into a board during a full Moon.
Blowing nine times on a wart while the Moon is full will make the wart go away.
.. see the madness?

Nothing good can come from a full moon, but writers here has written good stories and poems about this subjective topic. Enjoy! and never forget to give a little R & R.
Always enjoy the things that inspire our dark sides, or just flaunt it 'cause they got it.
