About This Newsletter

Reading a horror story, one that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last page, is what every horror fan dreams of. Being scared, to the point that sleep is almost impossible, makes the read all the more worthwhile. Does that make us crazy? You bet!!!

My name is Darkin, and I’m your host this week for the Horror Newsletter.

Letter from the editor

Psychic Vampires

Vampires are frightening creatures. They are super strong, live forever, and drink blood to survive...our blood. These kinds of vampires are found in most tales of horror. But they aren't the only vampire in the crypt.

Psychic vampires are another variety of these creatures of the night that I feel aren't used enough. This vampire feeds on emotions, instead of blood. They can be just as strong, and live just as long.

Need an example?

Just think about Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series White Court vampires. There is a group of vampires that feed on lust, fear, and any other strong emotions.

Psychic vampires can make wonderful villains, or heroes. And one I wish I'd see more stories about. So what do you say, are you willing to take on a Psychic Vampire or two?

Thank you for taking the time to read. Happy Writing!
