About This Newsletter

Hello everyone, I’m Samberine Everose and I'm here, one of the regular editors in the Romance/Love Topic of the WDC Newsletter, and just like I've been saying, I will not be tired in expressing my thankfulness to all the beautiful people here in this wonderful community of writers for not only helping us to improve our writings but giving us also encouragement and inspiration every day. *Smile*

We said here in the Philippines about weather-weather lang yan!(it's only the weather)
But, does the weather or change of the season will affect our writing mood?
Find out here in my NL this week.

Letter from the editor

Winter Writer's Block

I received an email commenting on my recent NL, about writer's block and this gives me an idea for my topic in today"s week NL.

Especially now that we have this cold outside season!
Though we don't have snow here in our tropical country we are still affected by the snowy countries around the world.
We still have this windy cold climate that sometimes makes us stay in bed and feel dull.*Pthb*

And this affects one's mood,
Especially for moody creative writers that sometimes it can block or stir our chemical of inspiration

I don't talk only about the season but also the coldness or uninspirational doomsday of every writer has in their cold season.

They said it was the writer's block.

Writer's block is a nonmedical condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author is either unable to produce new work or experience a creative slowdown.(from Wikipedia)

So how will one conquer this winter writer's block?
Here are some thoughts to think about.

*Tackr* 1. Find an inspiration.
- the simplest action to do.
This can be something that we find around us, our loved ones, a word from our favorite social media
Or a simple quote from our favorite book.
For me, I often get my inspiration through the Bible,
Or if we can't find an inspiration,
Think about being an inspiration so that our brainy thoughts will light up and push us up to be really an inspiration to others' world.

*Tackr*2. Choose a reliable companion best friend.
Writers are mostly introverts, it's hard to write if you are not always with yourself.
The reliable companion that I am stating here is your writing tools like the classical pen and paper or our virtual multi-purpose writing note tablet and yes, Writing.com.

*Tackr*3. Become a scientist- invent/play with your words.
Be brave to play with your words,
It's so good to invent something, a thought, a feeling, an idea, an opinion.
We are always unique in anything we produce.

*Tackr*4. Do what makes you happy.
When you do something that makes you happy, anything that does not harm you in the end, the expression that reflects on you
will also motivate your audience and readers.

*Tackr*5. Eat foods that are associated with the chemical or hormone of achievement /creativity/accomplish to do.
Boost your body with foods that are rich in giving happiness and encouragement or the chemical that is released when you accomplish something which is called dopamine.
Examples of foods that are rich in dopamine are chocolate, eggs, apples, nuts, bananas, coffee, and others.*Hungry*

In Every season especially those times that it affects our mood to do creatively and can slow down or push us down
but
Remember that we have this wonderful gift of our Creator to us, our FREE WILL to choose.
So it still depends on us if we allow those challenges to knock us down or we just conquer them.
Write it On! *Heart*
