Halfway!
We're halfway through the year! What does that mean to our community? Well, if you made some resolutions for the New Year, are you achieving those goals? No? Let's focus.
What is preventing you from getting to the goal post?
Time? Give yourself fifteen minutes a day. You don't think it is a lot, but it is. You'll be astounded to find out how much you write and start thinking about what to write in those fifteen. I hope to re-open a contest I used to run that will help you get in the writing habit just before NaNoWriMo.
Procrastination? C'mon, make a list. Work on the list and feel the pleasure of crossing off things one by one.
Fear? You can do it! If you don't believe me, ask our community, they know how it feels and believes in you.
Even if you believe your list isn't something you can achieve, reassess and make a new one! Maybe a health issue gave you a setback. Sometimes life likes to throw curveballs. Hopefully, you learned from those setbacks and are coming back stronger than ever.
We all deserve to have a win on our card, just work a little harder and believe in yourself.
And don't forget to post in "Weekly Goals" , it's a good tool and a great way to get to know your community!
This month's question: How do you reprioritize your goals? Send in your answer below! Editors love feedback!

This isn't a contest, but rather, a place to share your poetic expressions!
As you are inspired, add an 8 line, titled poem to this collection.
(The poem's title doesn't count as one of the 8 lines.)

Last month's question: What unique ideas do you have for a Group item?
BIG BAD WOLF is Merry : Got a group for Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Horror writers that like to use non-human characters. It's had its up days, and down days. "Non-Humans R Us"
Prosperous Snow celebrating : World Citizens
elephantsealer : Creating group ideas is a good way for writers to get together, pool ideas and send each other GPs...
Elisa: Snowman Stik : I have seen/run groups for unofficial newsletters. It's definitely a lot of work but can address underserved niches.
bryanmchunter: Personally, I'm looking for writers to help me with my Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? interactive story, where any character from any franchise can compete on the titular game show. I want to make sure their personalities stay true to their characters, and I also want to have plenty of ideas for questions and answers. This will require help from members with memberships that allow them to add up to five chapters, as WWtBaM questions usually have four answers.
Thanks to everyone who responded to the question, much appreciated. |
