INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:  I enjoyed reading your "Fusillade" poem every time I read it, including today. I read this "Fusillade" poem of yours sometime in the past and enjoyed it, but didn't have time to review it right then, so I flagged it for an anniversary review (meaning I saved the link to it in a special "March" file.  ). I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting and encouraging. I loved your poem so much. It was full of poetic devices and reminded me to take time to enjoy "the exultation" that is spring. Not that I'd forget nowadays, but I like how you worded it. You have a wonderful way with words.  I love the depths of your vocabulary and enjoyed all the unique words that you shared. You made me feel smart too (not having to look any of them up haha). My favorite line was the last line, though the second line in that same (last) stanza was another contender. I hadn't heard the phrase "seconds sand" before, but I like it, and not just for the alliteration (which I love). I don't recall what the prompt was for that week and round of the Promptly Poetry Challenge, but I'm guessing you rocked it. This is a fantastic, unique, beautiful poem. Your floral image in the thumbnail picture was perfect for this poem about spring's fleeting joys and beauty. I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "Fusillade" poem. I thought the nature and melodrama genres you selected for this poem were appropriate matches for it.IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: In the spirit of helpfulness, and because of the requirements of a new reviewing challenge I joined recently, I have some little suggestions to make your piece stronger or net you more potential readers. I don't know how long it took me to start doing that, but once I did, readers responded favorably. So I'd recommend adding that information beneath your poem. It might help you get more future readers if you added third genre. Perhaps "personal," "experience," or "biographical?"As with any review, please take what serves you and release or ignore what doesn't.
