I found your poem in the "Anniversary Reviews" forum today, reviewed by someone else that I respect. I saw that the person gave it five stars, so I glanced at the title and clicked on your poem to open it. The description drew me in and I immediately read your poem and enjoyed it greatly, so I decided to give you a review as a little anniversary gift. Happiest anniversary wishes to you and best wishes on your writing future too! I loved your poem so much. The transition from lovebirds to brutal honesty to ... what happened at the end (I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone who reads this and hasn't read your poem yet) was fantastic. I thought the blend of poetic dialogue and rhyming you employed was artful and hilarious. The rhyming definitely added to the feeling of action and sense of humor in the poem. My favorite line was the one that made me laugh out loud. It was part of the husband's last stanza. I thought you did a great job with the prompt for that day of the Writer's Cramp contest. I hope you won the day. I can't imagine that you didn't, as this is excellent. I love that you wrote it in under twenty four hours too. Amazing! I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "No Room in the Bathroom" poem . I appreciated that you shared the name of the challenge you originally wrote this for. I thought the comedy, contest, and family genres you selected for this poem were appropriate matches for it. I liked that you included your line count below your poem, and that you set it off to the side, so it was obviously a notes section and not part of the poem. Congratulations on already having received twenty one reviews averaging five stars for this poem! I see that I'm not the only one who loved it.  IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: In the spirit of helpfulness, and because of the requirements of a new reviewing challenge I joined recently, I have some little suggestions to make your piece stronger. If you haven't already done so, and it doesn't have too many lines to be considered for Lornda's (username = memories) Humorous Poetry Contest, I highly recommend that you enter it there. I think she'd appreciate it too. It might help you get more future readers if you added a thumbnail picture to your story, if your membership level allows that. Pictures are attention getting and could help your story stand out in a list of search results. If this poem qualifies as a traditional form of poetry (with the rhyming, I'm thinking it might), you could also enter it in the Traditional Poetry contest here. I am not sure who runs it... I think Brenpoet used to, but am not sure if she still runs it? But I do remember seeing it advertised in my news feed recently, so hopefully it's still running.As with any review, please take what serves you and release or ignore what doesn't.
