Fantastic and evocative writing. You are a new to WDC, but obviously and experienced author. Difficult to tell a story that is in the head of a single character like this throughout. It’s also a good storyline and is well paced, for the most part. I got lost when the main character first drifted into a memory, it seemed like it was current action and that the story was disjoint. Working memories and dreams into a story is a challenge. If you are looking to improve this story, that is what I would suggest.
