It was a lovely way to cap off my time here today and a great story for Valentine's Day for this cat lover. I found your "Whiskers' Tale" short story in the "Anniversary Reviews" forum today, reviewed by someone else that I respect. I love cats, so your title drew me in and I clicked and read your description and was intrigued, so decided to read your story. I enjoyed it greatly, so I then decided to give you a review as a little anniversary gift. Happiest anniversary wishes to you and best wishes on your writing future too! It was fun to read the Cinderella story from the cat's perspective, and I loved your sense of humor and appreciation for our feline friends that shone throughout the story. My favorite sentence was "Part of me is impressed, but another part is miffed that my prey has been turned into unappetizing equines." It made me smile, as did a few other lines in your story. This one might be the most unique for me, so that's why I picked it. I wondered if this story was written for a particular challenge or contest here? I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your "Whiskers' Tale" short story. I thought the children's, fantasy, and writing genres you selected for this poem were appropriate matches for it. I loved the ending. It made me smile again.  IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: In the spirit of helpfulness, and because of the requirements of a new reviewing challenge I joined recently, I have two little suggestions to make your piece stronger. If you're interested in some constructive criticism, read on. But if you aren't, no worries. Just know that I enjoyed your piece and move on to the next section. Still reading? You're brave! Yay for you!   It might help you get more future readers if you added a thumbnail picture to your story, if your membership level allows that. Pictures are attention getting and could help your story stand out in a list of search results. It's always nice for me as a reader of short stories to have the word count listed below the story, perhaps in a "notes" section, or in the description, or even above the story. Just somewhere obvious. I don't know how long it took me to start doing that, but once I did, readers responded favorably. So I'd recommend adding that information where a potential reader can see it at a glance. Most contests require this, so if you wanted to enter this story in a contest here, it could help you not get disqualified.As with any review, please take what serves you and release or ignore what doesn't. CONCLUSION:  I enjoyed reading your "Whiskers' Tale" short story, and loved reading your version of this classic tale from Cinderella's cat's perspective.
