An Angel Army Review

Hi Nathan Zimmerman .

I'm JACE , and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "An Introduction to Me.

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

*Note1*
Overall Impression. First, welcome to Writing.Com. It seems like an eternity since I joined, but I do still remember my first few weeks here. I was tentative, poking my nose into all the nooks and crannies, and keeping a rather low profile.

Thanks for sharing this bit about you. I didn't see that you posted any introduction in "Noticing Newbies. It's not required, of course, but more members will see your information there than just posting an item in your Portfolio.

I found your item via the Read & Review feature on WDC. That was a bit of luck as normally this is not as widely used as the Noticing Newbies forum. You can still post over there if you wish.

As for your introduction, I found it to be concise and informative. I suspect if you do a search of Groups on WDC, you may find one or two that will peak your interest. Just email the host of any group you wish to join (or find out more about). Oh yeah, to search, use the Navigation Menu (left of the page), select Browse By Type --> Groups --> use the search box. Or, just scroll down the list of groups.

Consider filling out your Biography tab too. That helps other members who come across your Port to know your interests. If you wish to improve your writing abilities, you have to write. Working with members who have similar interests will help. Writing is exercise, and exercise improves your writing.

I look forward to checking out your work soon.

One final thing, use the header information to your benefit. The Brief Description box is basically a billboard advertising your item. Titles are critical (this one is perfect). The Subtype and Genre boxes are very important too. They define where your item will be displayed on WDC, thereby leading to more potential views.

Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

*Bullet* One thing I might suggest. When creating an item here, the font and size default is Arial 3.0. Consider making your default size 3.5. It's a small change but will help those who wish to read your work. Many of us are older, and reading from a screen is not always easy.

*Bullet* I found no problems with any technical aspects of your writing. Well done.

*Star*
My Rating.  4.5
