It is an evergreen love story between the teller and Martha. True love stories always remain evergreen. It remains irrelevant to time and place. This is the beauty of a love story. The love between Martha and the narrator is true. So, the burning days of World War II don't affect much at all. Despite they didn't meet again, their souls can meet due to bonding.
It's dramatic and emotional. I enjoy its auto-tune.
