TOUR DE PORTS 2024 Positive Hearts A Review from: "Positive Hearts Reviews Group" Hello, Kiya! INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW: Wow! You wrote a fantastic educational piece about using a photograph to inspire short stories, and you went well beyond the expected. If I were a teacher, you'd get an A+ for this article (the highest letter grade here where I live). Your writing kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end. MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK: My favorite part is hard to pick. I especially loved the sci fi take on the prompt and the helpful tips at the bottom. So it's a tie with those two for me. Your whole article was great though. You engaged my senses when you described the ball in such detail. Funny how our minds take it all in at a glance, but we often don't actually spend time thinking about it or adding all five senses, as you recommended. I liked that you used a numbered list for the helpful tips, as well as a few different font colors and, of course, the baseball picture, for visual interest. You made great use of white space too. It kept things flowing nicely and broke things up just right for this reader. I loved this writing piece of yours so much that I favorited the whole blog / collection. I loved that you ended with encouragement. Beginning writers might read this and be inspired yet nervous that they couldn't possibly live up to what you just presented, so I think that it's especially great to have that encouragement that "it can be done." I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your educational writing article. I thought the genres you selected were perfect for this educational writing article of yours. IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: In the spirit of helpfulness (and because of the rules of Tour de Ports review challenge I'm in require that, I have a suggestion to make your piece stronger. I'm having to dig deep for this as I really thought your piece was well done as it is though. So if you want to skip this part, no worries at all! Just move on to the next section and know that I enjoyed your poem. The only thing I can think of, and I'm not sure that it's needed, would be to add a comma after the "and" in this sentence: "To stare at a picture and to bring it to life, is a lesson in imagery, imagery and did I mention imagery?" I feel like there's a natural pause there that a comma could help indicate. Though, again not sure if it's necessary. I just couldn't think of anything else. This is a perfect article, in my opinion. CONCLUSION: You have a great writing style and I greatly enjoyed reading your helpful writing article. Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, heart, spirit, and writing with the Writing.Com community! May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
