You did a great job with this prose. You effectively captured the emotions of longing and love. I thought the piece was simple, effective, and elegant. I particularly liked the way you structured each paragraph to start with the word "she", which was bookended by paragraphs that started "even now" at the beginning and end. That symmetry was really effective.
