Dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's... [E] What I really know about these different conditions... |
Welcome to Writing.com! Greetings, ULVdrgn1! I am reviewing this because you are new to this awesome community. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Again, welcome! First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest. The Positives/What I Liked You have a compassionate heart for those in need, that is obvious. The medical field is lucky to have you as part of their team. You see those who have such diseases as dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, as real human beings, not the disease itself, like so many do. You are right, these people still need to be respected and they know more than they're given credit for. I noticed no grammar issues, nor spelling or punctuation typos. Nice work! You've also filled in all three genres, all of which fit wonderfully with your piece. Your title is great, too, as it immediately draws attention to what this piece is about. Good job on the summary (below the title), too. Suggestions/Comments to Consider I have only a few nit-picky suggestions that don't amount to much at all. You might consider not bolding the text and perhaps not using colored letters. It just feels a bit stark for the serious topic. It's not a huge deal, and it's entirely up to you, but something to think about. I do, however, greatly appreciate the text size! Thank you for that! The only other thing is that you have this categorized as a short story. You might revisit this, as it's nonfiction. Final Thoughts Ah! So many options to think about when creating an item, right? You've done a great job, especially as a Newbie. And like I said earlier, my suggestions are just nitpicky and that's it. You've done a nice job with this piece, and I am so thankful there are people like you in the medical field with a passionate soul. Thank you for sharing! Have a great day and...
