It's a wonderfully written tragic short story mainly for teen readers. It creates pain in our hearts. To save the life of his daughter, Auguste burned severely. She, Angela, was a child. So, she got fear. Tragically, he felt shame and kept his distance from her.
But, God helps the needy. Auguste knows the psychology of the burned patients. He worked there as a therapist to help them to recover. Suddenly, got a property from a patient after his death.
He also worked as a clown in a circus. Ultimately, Angela met him and they lived together. Augusta also spent the rest of their life with children.
It's truly a brilliant story.
