An Angel Army Review

Hi Minnie Author Icon.

I'm JACE Author Icon, and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Deafening silenceOpen in new Window..

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

*Note1*
Overall Impression. First, congratulations on joining us at Writing.Com. Obviously you've figured out how to create and post your first item. Don't forget to fill out your Bio-Block and Biography tab. That's the best way to meet like-minded people.

You might now realize the length of your story (or poem, or whatever you wish to write) makes no difference to anyone wishing to review your item.

This offering is a great start to your WDC career. I enjoyed reading it. Believe me, I've felt the same before. Sometimes you just have to get out of the way of your mind.

Now to the meat of my review. I'd like to suggest a few tips for posting material here. I try to follow these now. If you check out any older items in my Port you'll find I learned these tips a bit later, and I'm slowly editing them to reflect me now.

Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

*Bullet* First, if you use dialogue, punctuate properly. And each person speaking gets their own paragraph, even if it's only one line. Normally the same person speaking would have two or more paragraphs in a row only if he/she has a lot to say.
"are you ok?"  "Are you ok? You went quiet."

*Bullet* When posting content that will be read on a screen (especially on a mobile device as a lot of members use), double-space each paragraph, even if only one line. The extra white space makes reading easier. You can double-space while writing, or use the Double-space Paragraphs while in the Edit mode.

*Bullet* A final point for this review. The WDC default font size is 3.0. Meaning if you don't change the size, this (3.0) is what you get.
I suggest making your default size a bit larger by using the sSS icon in the Edit bar at the top off your writing window.  I normally use 3.5 Verdana font.

*Star*
My Rating.  4.5.  I wish you the best in all your writing endeavors.

Thank you for sharing this offering. Please accept these comments as offered in friendship and support. They are but my humble opinion.
