Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest. Prompt: "WRITE A POEM ABOUT SOMETHING WORTHLESS." The Positives/What I Liked What a great idea for this prompt! I'm impressed with the vision you've come up with: an empty, discarded candy wrapper (preferably Starburst because that's one of your favorite candy ) Your imagery is amazing, showing us the colorful, waxy, crumpled paper flying in the breeze with no set destination. You also describe it as once being a guardian, protecting the sweet prize within. I love this! I think my favorite line is: Ensuring a moment of joy to the one who unwrapped it Great choice on the centering of this piece, along with the font, font size (I appreciate this, thank you!), and line-spacing. Suggestions/Comments to Consider Stanza 2: Line 1: It worthless now It's worthless now Final Thoughts This is great. I definitely will look at discarded candy wrappers in another light from now on!
