You engaged my senses and emotions as I read this Hawaiian nature poem of yours. I recently read a series of books set in Hawaii and they mentioned the honeycreepers so I was especially happy to see them featured in your poem so beautifully.

I was happy to see it placed as a winner in the Shadows and Light Poetry Contest for round 98. Congratulations! That's a contest I always mean to enter. I rarely place though, so I greatly admire those who do!

I think my favorite line was "wings of jewels that seek," although I loved your whole poem.

I loved how you beautifully included so many Hawaiian words, and that you explained them at the bottom for those who don't know or remember them all.

I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your lovely Hawaiian nature poem.

I thought the nature, environment and animal genres you selected were perfect for this Hawaiian nature poem of yours.
