It's not a short story at all. The characteristics of a short story are absent here. This writing effort proves that the author is a good poet. We can see the characteristics of a good poet in some pockets. The Influence of poetry makes it attractive but it is also not perfect poetry, too. Then what type of literature Is it? It suits the property of a Monologue. The speaker uninterrupted established self-feelings from the earned experiences. It matches with the qualities of a Monologue.
Readability is good.
Keep writing.
