This is not an easy poem to read, as it's about emotional abuse from a loved one. The person pretends to be shy, meek, even helpless, but it soon comes clear to the victim, that they are using the other for their own means, and that they are not as helpless as they appear, and thus are setting their victim up to make them completely, and utterly, helpless.
