Ricefields  Open in new Window. [ASR]
Rice fields can be intensive labor. I thought of Isaan in Thailand. An old person's view.

*CakeB* HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary ReviewsOpen in new Window.*CakeP*

Hello, Kåre Enga!

INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW:
*Bulletg* Wow! You wrote a fantastic poem, filled with beauty and thought.

*Bulletg* You kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end.

MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK:

*Bulleto* Happy Writing.Com Anniversary month! I read this poem sometime in the past and loved it, but didn't have time to review it right then, so I flagged it for an anniversary review (meaning I saved the link to it in a special "June" file *Smile* ). I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting.

*Bulleto* You engaged my senses and emotions as I read this cultural / nature poem of yours. I haven't been to Thailand but I have been to Japan and have seen people of all ages working the rice fields. The younger ones did reflect more of the limber flexibility of "a young green blade." That was an excellent analogy. I loved that people of all ages were appreciated and valued there. Even if things took a little longer and their words came slower, elders were especially appreciated for their wisdom. I wondered, is it like that in Thailand?

*Bulleto* If you haven't already entered this beautiful poem in the Shadows and Light Poetry Contest, I recommend that you do. It's an excellent free verse poem, in my opinion.

*Bulleto* I thought that your thumbnail picture for this Ricefields poem of yours is perfect for the poem. I wondered if it was actually of a rice field? Could be!

*Bulleto* I loved the ending. Probably the last line was my favorite because it ended the poem in such a beautiful and uplifting manner. I love watching fireflies in the summer here in the United States of America. I imagine they are out all year in warmer places.

*Bulleto* I didn't notice any spelling or grammatical mistakes (or mistakes of any kind) in your cultural poem.

*Bulleto* I thought the genres you selected were perfect for this lovely poem of yours.

IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER:
I would love to have something great to share here, but I think it's wonderful and perfect as it is. Well done! *Clap*

CONCLUSION:
*Bulletv* You have a great writing style and I greatly enjoyed reading your cultural poem.

*Bulletv* Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, heart, spirit, and writing with the Writing.Com community!

*Bulletv* Once again, happy anniversary month! I hope the year ahead is filled with blessings and joy for you!

May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance!
PWheeler
