Hi N/A Author Icon.

I'm JACE Author Icon, and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "Lost in TranslationOpen in new Window..

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

*Note1*
Overall Impression. First, welcome to Writing.Com. I see you joined us yesterday. Don't forget to fill out your Bio-Block and Biography tab. That makes it easier for like-minded people to find you.

I really enjoyed reading your article. My biggest complaint is it was too short. You get your reader invested in your story and then it's over. Your opening line is great. You hooked me in with it. And your title works well.

One thing. I think you missed an opportunity by not including any Genre categories to help identify your item. It offers no clues as to whether this is an experience you actually had, or just a story. While that may not be important to you, the use of Genres helps place your item in areas on WDC where it can be easily found by persons seeking those genre items.

Technical and Editorial Considerations. In this section I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc. A couple of minor points.

*Bullet* You did well by double-spacing your paragraphs. The added white space makes reading on a computer screen much easier.

*Bullet* Consider using a slightly larger font size when creating your items. The WDC standard is Arial 3.0. While this may be a size most actual books use, it's harder to read on a screen, especially for many older members ... like me *Smile* I now use Verdana 3.5 as my standard.

*Bullet* A final note. Convention places foreign words in Italics rather than quotation marks. Using the WritingML buttons at the top of the text window is the easiest way to accomplish this. Just highlight the word(s) and click on the (second) Italic button.

My Rating.  4.5.  I look forward to reading more from you.

Thank you for sharing this offering. Please accept these comments as offered in friendship and support. They are but my humble opinion.
