Hello Mitch ![]() First impression: The title and intro line explain exactly what this was about. What works: It's very neat that the banner of the contest page is still visible after all these years for a contest that only lasted a couple of months. This is of huge historical value now. I'm not joking when I say this. I like how generous and common sense all of the rules are. I always insist in seeing a wordcount when I run contests, so your way of loosely asking for a maximum of 2,500 words is not threatening to those who would run over one or two words. What needs work: 1)All entries must be posted in bitem format. ![]() Final thoughts: The contest idea for short stories that happen in a bar, or several bars for those who like to travel while drinking is a unique idea. I once wrote a story with one drink in which I met Alexander the Great. It wouldn't fit your prompt on this page though. And I only joined the site in 2008, four years after this contest closed. This is a five star worth forum for its historical value to Writing.Com.
