Hello Creeper Of The Realm First impression: The North Remembers, a Winterfell themed forum that holds the writing challenges and prompts for Game of Thrones together. What works: The rules written up front before all of the prompts. All rules are very clear and I appreciate the warning at the bottom that once the points for a story have been set by the judges, there is no going back. I assume if the participant can prove that the judge made an actual mistake, there is some common sense wiggle room, but I always agree with enforcing all rules equally to create and maintain an even playing field for all who are playing. What needs work: Nothing is missing, but I wonder if instead of hiding the merit badges that are the prizes for 200, 400, and 650 pieces should be made visible below the Winterfell banner so as to make it more obvious what the prizes are for even trying to write that much in one month beyond getting points for the Game of Thrones house. I don't think it should change for this year, but as I don't see myself able to produce even 200 pieces in a month, I am not sure if the hurdle is even worth tackling for me. The bar for this one is set to so high that I am excluded from these merit badges. I wonder if (if there is another round of Game of Thrones) the bar for at least one merit badge could be set to 30 = 1 story or poem per day. Final thoughts: Like all your Game of Thrones forums, this one is professionally set up. Any visitor to the page can quickly and clearly understand what is asked of them. The rules are not ambiguous or contradictory. I can't say anything about the forum's administration because I haven't written for any prompt yet.
