Hi Thomas Seeker Author Icon.

I'm JACE Author Icon, and I have the honor of reading and reviewing your offering "WokeOpen in new Window., which I'm also submitting to the "Game of ThronesOpen in new Window..

I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

*Note1*  Overall Impression. I believe the problem with being woke is it is only perceived from one point of view. Each person understands woke from his point, by what has made him or her. You speak to transcending that view so that we may treat others as we would have them treat us.

The "Golden Rule" has existed for a long time. But still it eludes us.

You mention: "Faster communications amplify the messages trying to drown out all other voices." I submit that the world, and the people who have inhabited it, is as it always was. Yes, we turn on the television and see what is happening immediately 15,000 miles away. But even when communication took many months, regional factions exercised their own version of woke.

Woke has always been with humanity--it has just been given a name now. And that name has such negative connotations, seized on by small-minded men and women who would press on us whatever revelation they see.

Again you write: " I hope now you can see that being woke to something means you see the truth." I completely agree. I also agree that people re-define 'truth' to mean what they want it to mean. Sometimes my pessimistic side smacks down my optimism, and I despair for the human race. Something more fundamental that woke, or truth, or even enlightenment needs to happen. And I really don't know what or how that will be.

Dang, ain't I a downer. *Shock* Sorry.

Truly I understand what you say, and I hope one day humanity achieves this. But I hold little chance of that happening with the current state of society. The disfunction of the US Congress shows that perfectly.

*Exclaim*  Technical and Editorial Considerations. I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing here--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

*Bullet* It's a small thing, but you're missing a few carriage returns--watch your paragraph spacing.
