Nurses' Notes at Midnight [ASR] A mystery written in the style of nurses' notes. (approx 2300 words) |
A Review From The Bank Of Braavos Title: Nurses Notes At Midnight Hi: I am Megan, one of the sly foxes. First Impression: I was a QMA, midnight nurse. I know about taking care of patients and charting on them and can relate to this. I was anxious to read this. This drew me in and I had past memories of situations and charting. A lawyer and court studying every written word and Nurses Note. I know how important this is. I am retired now but some things you never forget about a job. What needs your attention: I don't think anything. Every detail was discussed and looks like the court went over this with a fine tooth comb so to speak. Part I liked best: Patient refusing Meds. Thinking the Nurses are trying to kill him. Been there with patients. List of Meds given. Every step by step action written down of what the patient did when he was awake. Vital signs recorded. Statements made by the patient and staff's words of advisement and everything they did to help the patient. No signs of neglect. Overall Impression: Everything was written down. When you work in Nursing, you understand these things. I once worked with a Nurse who told me a lawyer told him to write very little about the situations of a patient and nurse. He said the less written down, the better. I disagree. I was taught to document everything. We need to protect ourselves and our patients and every little thing we did for them. Excellent writing and everything was in order. I was impressed with this story and the results.
