Hey, nothing like reading a tribute to WdC! I found this by using the Random Read and Review button. As a newbie, I love getting these little glimpses of what the place has been like over the years. You’ve created a time capsule of sorts, capturing a view of the fun times that once were and looking forward to many more.

My own 2020 was embroiled in the pandemic, and was probably one of the worst years of my life for a whole pile of reasons. It’s good to know WdC was carrying on still through all that chaos. It must have been a lovely place of refuge and global connection. I like how you’ve included the link to that note, which I’ll have to check out once I’m done reviewing. I see nothing to suggest by way of improvement here; you’ve written a clever free verse acrostic that carries good meaning and shares fun facts while honoring the community we all love. You’ve included a line count and all the tidy little formatting fussies that I usually remark on. Perhaps you can change the genre from “Contest Entry” to “Experience” or “Personal.”

I enjoy seeing how many of the people who I’ve made friends with have been here for so many years; it brings a sense of stability and continuity to the site that no other place has.
