Hello Beholden

First impression:

This is a great story that adequately describes the phrase: Nobody goes there anymore, it has become too crowded. I did wonder why people bring Amilcar presents. Did anyone think to bring him food? The story made me wonder why Amilcar desired to meditate for that long. By the time he was getting crowded out of his cave, he had spent almost half his life (not taking into consideration his early childhood) in that cave.

What works:

I like that you chose two meaningful genres for this item.

The font style and size are perfect for reading on a screen. I have come to really appreciate pieces that are presented in font size 4.0.

What needs work:

Not really a blemish, but you might add something more descriptive third genre than Contest Entry when or if you think about it.

Final thoughts:

Short as it is, this piece is impactful in the sense that it made me remember an old joke. It also goes to show how people really are having a hard time letting someone else do something without having the need to gawk at them. The modern way of following people around in order to post it on the internet has gotten way out of hand.

I hope Amilcar will be left alone on his new mountaintop retreat.
