![]() | Dear Me... 2017 ![]() It is time to show you what I'm made of! ![]() |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Gaby ![]() I'm JACE ![]() ![]() The views and opinions on this review are mainly the things discovered by the reader and therefore, do not reflect necessarily to the group, activity and/or event being affiliated herein. This is only the opinion and suggestions of the reviewer, and it is still up to the author of this piece to consider this review as a corrective action or otherwise. ![]() I've been a member here for more than 15 years. In that time I've written 13 "Dear Me" letters. A few of them fared well in the official "Dear Me" contest; but all of them did what they were written to do--focus my efforts toward improving myself in general and my writing craft specifically. I read three of your letters and decided on reviewing this one because it was the most recent one I found. My question. What have you been doing the past seven years? Sorry, I'm being facetious. I know all the support and encouragement you give to the members and the site. And you're still running "Game of Thrones" ![]() ![]() I read one part of your letter about writer's block walking hand in hand with procrastination. I submit using writer's block as an excuse IS procrastination. I don't have problems with coming up with ideas; I have problems making myself write. You've set some lofty goals. Of course, only you know how you did by the end of 2017. I hope you were satisfied. Perhaps the next year you learned to pace yourself and not do too much. I've often thought we need an official "Closing Dear Me" contest, in which we tell ourselves just how we did that year. What good are all the plans if we don't hold ourselves accountable? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
