Obviously, some hobbies take lots of time and effort. And I believe playing a piano is one of the latter. When I was younger I traded lessons. I taught guitar to a lady who TRIED to teach me piano. She got the better end. Of course, all music uses the letters A through G along with all the sharps and flats that makeup the songs. I must admit that I tried hard to understand your descriptions of finger placement. But I failed. I think it's more my inability to comprehend that your ability to explain. "Little black dots"--that's what I call musical notes. I can't read them, which is probably why no piano in my future. I play guitar by ear. I have heard about the use of mnemonics to remember the various scales. Using them has probably saved many a student. ![]() I'm impressed with you selecting such a difficult topic to teach, and taking the time to write it down. Your imagination is showing through.
