Hello dragonwoman

What a cliffhanger! I did not see that ending coming at all. The story moved along so nicely, and as Cavan would say "logically" that it didn't occur to me that this could leave me wondering for the rest of eternity what was on that paper.

The fake sweaty student was a nice touch to show the stakes of the test even if Cavan didn't seem to care.

The story raises so many questions. Which subject was the test in? Did Cavan have answers for evfery question? Did the teacher linger near any of the students during the test to make sure they weren't cheating?

The piece was an easy read because you chose a nicely large font size and clear font style. The paragraph breaks are all at the perfect places to keep the characters and the plot straight.

As this was a flash fiction story with a wordcount limit of 300, you did the most of it with the words given.

Everything was correct in the spelling and grammar department. There was one turn of phrase that struck me as odd.

“We’ll see, won’t we?” was the teacher’s final word *Right* Since this was a whole sentence, I wonder if it should be were the teacher’s final words

In the same sentence, I also felt that the final words were not necessary. final word on the matter for now. *Right* The teacher always has the final word. And the "now" gives the story an immediacy that it doesn't have. After this last spoken sentence, the class and the teacher settle in for the test taking, which is a quiet, non-exciting activity.
