*Note1* Overall Impression.  Good morning. I chose this particular offering of yours precisely because it's a "Dear Me" letter. I love both reading and writing this letter each year.

I've been a member for 15 years, and have penned 13 "Dear Me" letters in those years. While some have fared well in the official contest, all have provided me with the direction and strength I needed to continue my writing journey.

This month marks your 23rd year as a member of Writing.Com. Congratulations! That in itself is a remarkable achievement. I hope your writing journey continues to support you as you desire.

I note that this letter is the only one displayed in your Portfolio. While I hope any others you may have written were deleted due to space restriction, I applaud your willingness to begin this new year with this step.

*Writer* Editorial Thoughts.  Great start. Sometimes you just have to dive into the water instead of dipping your toes. But you're a writer, so talking to yourself ... or your muse if that sounds better, should be old hat.

         *Bullet* You, like most of the letters I read, begin with taking care of yourself. After all, you won't write if you feel poorly.    

         *Bullet* It took me a moment, but I finally figured out who Hunny was. Perhaps clarify that early on.    

*Exclaim* Technical Considerations. This section relates to the mechanics of your writing.

         *Bullet* Much of your letter is about your self-care, or talking about your current and potentially future hobbies. You only mention one thing about your writing--contests. Do you have anything that pertains to writing that you would like to pursue? Were you able to submit this offering to the official "Dear Me" contest?   

         *Bullet* A thought: if you find writing still holds a place for you, consider setting a specific time of the day for you to write. It can be only 15-20 minutes to start. But developing that habit is essential to furthering your writing endeavors.
